The islamization of the sciences in the Islamic world is among the important issues in the sphere of humanities that has occupied the minds of many thinkers in the realms of science and religion in a few recent decades. A research in the epistemological and methodological foundations and origins of well-known views in the sphere of religious knowledge is one of the basic needs of the thinkers in the spheres of humanities and social sciences. The crises arising from the scientism and extremism in views on science and religion in the last two centuries have challenged the cooperation of science and religion and, accordingly, possibility of religious and monotheist science. Farouqi stresses upon the Islamic heritage and pays attention to the weaknesses of the traditional and western educational system, and considers the Islamization of sciences dependent upon modification of the educational system and integration of the two traditional Islamic and modern western educational systems with the centrality of Islam. The importance of Farouqi's view is in recognizing and explaining the weaknesses and deficiencies of the Islamic educational system and the pathological view of the modern sciences. The weakness of Farouqi's theory is in the fact that he has not managed, in integrating the Islamic heritage and the modern sciences, to offer a proper method for reconciling those two systems. Similarly, he has not been able to offer a proper methodology for enforcing the steps he has defined as his agenda.
